Multi-factor authentication (MFA)

Multi-factor authentication (MFA) is one of Torrens’s Global Education's global IT security features which provides an additional layer of user authentication security around our important digital assets.

Similar to the processes you may already use with Facebook, iCloud, banking, etc., MFA provides an additional layer of security during login by enabling you to confirm your identity through a smart phone application. The following resources can walk you through our MFA process and support you with your setup and any questions you may have.

Quick Facts

• Each local Office 365 resource needs to be authenticated with multi-factor authentication every 14 days

• When you log in with multi-factor authenticaion, you will need to select "Don’t ask again for 14 days"

• MIcrosoft Authenticator installed on your phone is the MFA sign-in method

• Alternatively you can set up multiple phone numbers, so you won’t have issues logging into a system even if you can’t reach your primary phone. You can update your security verification settings here
